Have a Happy And Thank Full Thanksgiving,

Myrtle Rockwell and I had some very nice Thanksgivings. I still remember the very first Thanksgiving after I began helping her in 2001. Needless to say we had some differences but lots of fun at the same time. Myrtle had her way of doing things and I had what I thought were my own. So, we had mashed potatoes flying around the kitchen from the beater, and at the same time it seemed like butter was flying around too. We argued a bit about how things ought to be, but we settled and had a very nice first Thanksgiving and this was six months after Myrtle was on hospice, but at this time she was doing so well hospice left. Myrtle was a very thankful woman. She was very grateful to all who helped her and for the good things in her life. She loved the Lord and was very thankful for His goodness in her life. We know the Bible says, "every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of lights." James 1:17.

Whoever reads this do one thing, be a picture taker. Take lots of pictures and or videos. This is one great regret I have because I did not take pictures of my mom, who I helped when she had cancer and is now home with the Lord, so I have no pictures to share. I am also limited on what I have with Myrtle Rockwell. I knew Myrtle probably, no not probably, certainly more than anyone second to her husband Capt. Joe Rockwell and in some ways it is my belief I knew Myrtle even more than he did. I say this because Myrtle loved to have conversation and Joe loved sports and watched and read the paper all of the time so conversation was limited. Where Myrtle and I talked all the time. So talk to your loved ones. Get to know them better and better. Takes lots of pictures, you can't have too many and it is so fun to look back on them. Then when that loved one is gone you will have not only wonderful memories but pictures to go with them.

Thanksgiving is a time of being thankful.  I hope whatever you do this Thanksgiving 2013 you will make it a family affair and all take part. Myrtle Rockwell had family and acquaintances but they "rarely" called and I will say never came to see her. Actions speak louder than words. You can "say" whatever you want but actions always speak louder. Don't pretend to be thankful show it, do something for someone else who really can't for themselves. Myrtle Rockwell's family and distant acquaintances were action wise not thankful about relatedness or what she (Myrtle) had done for them over the years. Unfortunately unlike Myrtle Rockwell they were out for what they could get from her "materially" money, furniture, stocks and so forth. Even  as bad or indifferent her family and acquaintances were towards her Myrtle was "always" loving, caring and sharing with them out of her own things. And it was Myrtle who really built things up financially not her husband, this is what Myrtle told me. Joe was not much for that so Myrtle did it. She was thankful for all the Lord gave her. Especially His Grace salvation thorough the Lord Jesus Christ, in that he died for our sins in our place so we would not have to.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Home "in" Glory with her Savior Jesus Christ. Myrtle Rockwell

We are moving towards three years already that Myrtle Rockwell went home to be with the Lord. And one of her favorite songs to sing was, "Oh that will be glory for me"

I enjoy this song too. And it will be glory for us all who believe that Christ's death and Resurrection is sufficient to save us as we believe God's provision alone.  As time marches on and many if not all who knew Myrtle Rockwell don't give her life any thought let alone miss her, I have not stopped missing her. She was a once in a lifetime friend. And I thank the Lord to have met, known and cared for her. Thank the Lord for his gracious provision of His Son Jesus Christ as our substitute for our sin-he died on our behalf and because of that we are in His forever family as we believe. See you soon Myrtle.

Once in your Life time...

Once in your life you may or may not meet someone who truly stands out from all others that you have met. Not because they are more physically beautiful or handsome but simply as a person. Have you had such an occasion? Well I have, in meeting this lady Myrtle Rockwell.
She was truly a once in a life time for me. I visited Mrs. Rockwell from a Church in the area I knew had many senior citizens and thought they may want some one to come visit them. I began visiting after my mother went to the Lord having died of cancer. Myrtle was so kind, so gracious, grateful it was hard to ever leave her because with someone like that you don't want to, do you know what I mean? While with some you can't wait to leave.

Myrtle was a Christian woman and she lived out her faith in Jesus Christ as Savior. I know many Pastors and lay people but Mrs. Rockwell was more of an example and mentor in our walk with Christ than 99% of the ones I knew.  Here is the difference. Myrtle was not a Presbyterian, Lutheran, Baptist, Catholic or any other man made up religion that segregates; she believed what the Bible said about God, Jesus Christ, Salvation and any and all other doctrines. And she really reflected the Lord. I mean specifically she was gracious and grateful. Let me give you an example. When Myrtle was on Hospice the second time.*(see note below)
The Hospice nurses ( and Myrtle was a Navy Nurse) commented saying, "Myrtle is the most grateful person we have ever met. She thanks you for everything, even the very little things. And she appreciates everything we do."   That is what the Hospice workers said. Now Myrtle would be the first to let you know the Lord is the one who filled her with such a spirit. In addition to being grateful Myrtle was generous. When I first met here it was as if her house was my house. That is how she was. Material things, jewelry, furniture, house, stocks and house equity really meant nothing to her because she knew she could not take it with her and where she was going had sooooo much more in wealth and abundance, Heaven to be with Jesus Christ in Glory. That is why Myrtle virtually gave everything to help her sister, no question. I even asked Myrtle not long  before she passed, "Myrtle, do you have any regrets?"  And without hesitation she said, "NO." Wow.

I could go on about Myrtle but I will save it for another post. What Myrtle would have you know is that no amount of money, material things or any other worldly thing can benefit you if you don't have Eternal Life through Faith in Jesus Christ. Maybe you have lots of money, or got an inheritance and you're set for life, but if you do not have the Son (Jesus Christ) you do not have life but the wrath of God remains on you.
Get your Bible out and read in First Corinthians in the 15th chapter the first five verses. There you will find the Gospel, the Good News. Believe that, and that alone.

* When I was first visiting Myrtle in Oct. 1999 she was around 100lbs. Then in early 2001 her doctor put her on Hospice. Myrtle had Congestive heart Failure.  I began helping her in April of 2001. She was on Hospice. In six months she weighed 125lbs and was eating lots of good whole foods, veggies, salmon, she loved salmon. Plus I gave her some nutrition, she was already taking some. But at the end of the six months Hospice was gone and Myrtle lived for ten more years. Thank the Lord. Your life is in God's hands not the doctors.

Are you Comfortable?

Life has a way of going from comfortable then to uncomfortable and back to comfortable. How we perceive things may have something to do with it right?
There are those who believe we create our own realities; well it seems true, but that is an allusion. Why? Because that would indicate we have control or some control. And in some ways we do,( or it appears so ) God has allowed for us to have the ability to make choices which gives us the idea we control things. Granted, I had control over the fact I went to visit elderly shut ins who were not able to get out and go to Church any more; but then that was already determined by God that my own mother would pass away and go home to be with the Lord at the same time Myrtle Rockwell was in need of help. Coincidence?
But why would I mention that here on Myrtle Rockwell's site?

Well, in 1996 my life was pretty good. I had a good job. I liked it. I was making a full time income only working part time hours doing loans. Comfortable. Then in December of 1996 without notice we had a meeting and all loan officers were let go. It was at a time when it was harder to find loan jobs. Then later in 1997 my mom was diagnosed with cancer. Laid off and mom has cancer all in six months time. Uncomfortable. She had her surgery after some time and the doctors told her and the family all was well. I got a job at WAMU, Washington Mutual Bank at the time. Comfortable. Then late in 1998 symptoms come back to my mom, more surgery they say. But, doctors were not honest with us, cancer was everywhere they said. Four months later my mom went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Me, Uncomfortable. At the bank, I had to leave..more uncomfortable. Then in Oct. 1999 I met Myrtle Rockwell. We hit it off and I helped her at her home and visited her often. Comfortable. I could not find a good loan job. Uncomfortable. Mrs. Rockwell had a bad reaction to medication so I stayed with her for a few days until she got better. Myrtle asked me if I could stay and help her and that she would pay. She said there is an extra room you can have plus your own bathroom. That was nice comfortable.
She was on hospice in April 2001. I helped for six months and she put on twenty pounds because she ate so well. Hospice had to go bye bye. Thank the Lord. Myrtle lived for ten more years. We had a great time she was able to do so much. We went all over the place for drives. So much more. Then in December of 2010
she was not doing so well, but she hung in there. Two months later March 2nd ,I believe, she went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Myrtle forever Comfortable! Me uncomfortable but I have come along way. Don't get too comfortable.

August, one of Myrtle's favorite months.

Well time is moving on and it is now two years and five months already that Myrtle Rockwell went Home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Time seems like it is moving fast doesn't it? I know it does for me.

One day you are 30 and then all of a sudden you are now 56, that's me. Myrtle and I were talking once on her patio and she said, "You know we Christians are funny. We talk of wonderful Heaven will be and we seek to put it off as long as we can." We laughed at that because we knew it was true. Well that is normal, because no one has died and gone to heaven and come back,; Except for the Lord Jesus Christ. The first fruits from the dead. He lives and we can live also. I know many stories are out there about someone who allegedly died and came back to tell us about God, friends and heaven. Hogwash, it did not happen. No man has seen God at any time it says in 1 John 3. And there is only one way to heaven, to the Father and that is through faith in the work of Christ on the Cross, period. No other way. That's the good news. That is hope. Jesus came and made it possible to be declared righteous before God the Father. But not by works of righteousness which we have done but by His mercy He Saved us. Titus 3:5-6. For by Grace are you saved through Faith, Ephesians 2:8-9.

I miss Myrtle. She was a very good friend. I came to help her and she helped me. I came way back in 1999 to visit and minister to her but she ministered to me. I came to bring some encouragement but she did more to encourage me than I her. I am going to post some pictures later of her mother and father. She must have had wonderful parents to have grown into such a lovely caring women. I think only once in your life do you meet someone as I had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Myrtle Rockwell.

August was the month we would make lemon aide from her lemon tree, or sip some chilled Zinfandel on the patio. Or we would cut some watermelon and eat that. Just sitting on the patio listening to the song birds. On a warm August morning Myrtle would ask, "Can I eat my breakfast on the patio?"  And of course we would. It was so nice. Coffee and breakfast on the patio. I miss that. Then as she sat I would maybe cut the back lawn and smell the fresh cut grass and then water. Unfortunately the yard from those living there is all dead. Plants are dead, grass is dead and trees are all chopped down. But I will always have the memories.
Myrtle on her patio. You can see how nice her yard was then.

Bye for now. The Lord is coming for His Church, believers (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) at any moment.
See you soon enough Myrtle.

I am missing Mrs. Rockwell today, that's all......have you

Ever had such a friend that you really did not know what you had until it was over or that special friend was gone? Cherish your loved ones and love them by serving them. God's love for us was of a servant nature. He loved in such a manner that He Gave His only unique Son to die in Our place for our sins, what love. Romans 5:8 and 1 John 3:1.

But I will see her again and it may be soon.

I add this today, July 7, 2015, I do miss Myrtle, she was the best friend I ever had.

"I came that you might have life....." the Lord Jesus Christ (John 10:10)

I write this because many people have life but not abundantly and it does not mean thousands and thousands of dollars or material goods but life that is above and beyond this one...A Glorious Hope.

I never really realized how much a blessing Mrs. Rockwell was (Myrtle) to me until she was gone and has been gone. She has been home with the Lord now for two years and two months. ( II Corinthians 5:8)

Myrtle loved the Lord and she was so assured of where she was going when she passed, and lived her faith like no one I know or have known except one. Myrtle was more faithful and liberated by her faith in Jesus Christ than most if not all pastor/teachers I have met. Most are legalistic wanting to please God on their own good efforts even after having said they have faith in the work of Christ on the cross. Yet they live lives of do's and don'ts trying to be holy out of some source of energy on their own. What a waste not to mention a slap at God after He has already made the provision for our sins and for daily living Romans 6.

Well, aside from that I miss Myrtle, she was a very good friend. You may only find one in your life time if you are lucky and I was because I did. She was a good sport too.
We would sit on the patio in the afternoon and talk, or make some lemon aide from her lemon tree, or have a glass of Zinfandel chilled. Myrtle was in her 90's in this picture. I laugh and cry when I look at it. When I look back the major regret I have is that I did not do more for her. I told her I loved her everyday and reminded her of how much the Lord, God the Father loved her, although she knew that more than me;
"And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us"..
  1 John 4:16.

Myrtle would want you to know Him, and all it takes is believing what God the Father  says about  His Son Jesus Christ.
The Good News    "Christ died for Our Sins according to the scriptures;
                                 and that he was buried,
and that he rose again the  third day
                                 according to the scriptures."

"By which you are saved"... if you believe this alone for salvation.

                                                                                             1 Corinthians 15: 1-4.

The time is short!

Make money from Home & be with the ones you love

While I was caring for Mrs. Rockwell I put my loan business on hold as I was caring for her full time (24/7).
And after she passed away things did not go the way I understood them to go. I was ask to pay rent while I was still in the house cleaning and painting it getting it ready for sale, this was only three months later so I wasn't bumming. I painted the whole exterior except for one side and three rooms in the house while maintaining the yard.
Nice isn't it? Well the executor decided after it looked so good that instead of selling it it would be rented. Well I did not have a job, I cared for Mrs. Rockwell and now she was gone and I had no money, what was I to do?  Well I had to leave. I thank the Lord I have a twin brother and I went to live with him, if not God knows what I'd have done.

So this brings me to what I'd like to share, "make money from home" , "make money from home so you can be with the ones you love."  How does that sound?
Mrs. Rockwell would want me to share these with you. When she knew I was looking at home businesses she always said just stay with one. Well I tried many and lost $ 1000's sound familiar? I looked and tried looked and tried and lost with no help from my sponsors. You are at the right place if you are reading this or these blogs to make money or gain information as to how..

Mrs. Rockwell was business minded; she was conservative. She invested and was pretty good.
I'd like to be but I need to make some money to pay bills for living and pay off debt. Maybe you'd like to also. If you are blogging for money or using blogs to find ways here they are. I need to make some money faster, I am in my fifties with no retirement so that's why I want to share these and hope you will look into them.
Maybe you'd like to simply make money to help family or others. Personally I want o help my brother at his house, pay off debts, finish my education (yes even now) and give to my church.

And finally one is for health as I cared for my mom with Cancer, and Mrs. Rockwell with heart problems.
This one You gotta see !!!!     www.funtoberich.com/mcm

Now I am on my way to making a living from home. Let me preface this with this; In the Bible in James 4:15 it says, "if the Lord wills we will do this or that make a gain." That being said I completely leave this to the Lord because it says also in James 1:17, "every good and perfect gift is from above from the Father," so I say too "Lord willing these will work" because I have lost money as well. So Lord willing these will work for you. you can contact through here with any questions.

May God bless you with His best, His Son 1 Corinthians 15: 1-5.

The Time is short......it is the last hour.

I am saying this only because as we see in the US as well as around the world many "Anti-Christ" systems and religions along with attitudes are abounding every day.

Further, the Apostle Paul said in 2 Tim. 3:1f   " this know also, for in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection , trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, highminded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness but denying the power there of.

This definitely characterizes our society. The people who built this country are the current community of Senior citizens. And this country for the most part is casting them aside and more so in the future. Mrs. Rockwell was a  Lieutenant Navy Nurse, and her husband was  Navy Captain. They both made sacrifices for their country and now it is being sold out by our Government to illegals, immoral and false religion.

That is why the only True Hope we have is the Grace Salvation that God the Father provided through the Sending of His Only Unique Son, Jesus Christ. "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and he was buried and rose the third day according to the scriptures" 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4. This only and alone saves by believing this that God has provided. And we wait for the Son from heaven who gave himself for us and delivers us from the wrath to come. 1 Thessalonians 1: 10.  The time on earth is short and then what? Eternity. We all will spend "forever" some where. Money, fame, possessions, power is all passing away, sooner than we think.

Myrtle is safe home with her Savior Jesus Christ and God the Father enjoying all the glory. I hope as would
Myrtle that you would come to believe in the Gracious Gift Salvation of Christ dying for our sins, alone nothing else; no good works.

An April Memorial Service

On Friday April 5th I attended a memorial service for a friend of mine from years ago. When I go to memorial services they always remind me of our own mortality and the fact that we are all heading in that direction. Now this one was at a Lutheran Church building and that is neither here nor there except for what the group believes saves them; in other words what they believe that makes them right before God. Many Lutheran Churches do in fact believe what the Bible says in regards to being Saved, and by that I mean having your sins and the penalty for them taken care of  by the vicarious death of Christ on the Cross. The death, burial and resurrection of Christ alone saves us as we believe that for the purpose of being saved.

I am not sure what this particular one believed but by the rituals they carried out I would say they may not believe that Christ's death is altogether sufficient to save them and they need to perform some good works. But that is not consistent with the Bible God's word. That is the Good News, that we don't have to try to earn it, for we can't in any way please God, so He sent His only Unique Son to die on the Cross in our place.

Any attempt to do good works is futile, and even if you tried and wanted to have God evaluate them on the day of Judgement you will be compared to Jesus Christ the Beloved Son. Do you think you are near Him? Remember God said if you fail in one you have failed them all. There is No room for even one sin, act of unrighteousness or trespass.  Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

Myrtle Rockwell in fact did believe this and was wonderfully saved by God. Her life reflected His love and forgiveness in so many ways. I study the Bible God's word each day, but I am so thankful to have had the privilege of caring for Myrtle Rockwell for ten years and had such a godly example!!!!

I miss you Myrtle, see you soon, Come Lord Jesus.

What a Joy Myrtle Rockwell was, and her home Peaceful

I wanted to put some of the pictures I had on Mrs. Rockwell's house. Keep in mind a house is a home by those dwelling in it; at least that is my definition. Because sometimes the nicest houses have much turmoil and no peace or love in it. Do you know what I mean? Sure you do.  Myrtle's house was a very peace filled home. She welcomed everyone and was hospitable to all. And as I mentioned in one post even if there was a party for Myrtle she would make "you" feel like the life of the party.

Here are some pictures.
The top one is her husband's military flag.We put it out often.
The next is a part of the section in here back yard, and you can see a zinfindel vine growing.
And the third one is the veggie garden. We grew kale, broccoli, tomatoes, beans and lettuce.
Next is looking back at the house, near her fig tree and lemon tree.
Then you see Myrtle on her patio. She loved being outside.
And finally the front yard. I loved caring for her and her yard. Unfortunately  it does not look like that now. Tenants have let it over grow to being the worst yard on the block. Sad but true. But Myrtle is with the Lord Jesus Christ so she has no concern. Praise the Lord.

I miss her. She was a wonderful  friend; one in a million I can safely say.

Myrtle Rockwell now home with the Lord two years! Wow.

I can hardly believe two years have gone by since Myrtle Rockwell went home to be with her Savior the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our only hope for Life Eternal, and a right standing before God the Father. Not a day goes by that I am not reminded of Myrtle by some flowers or plant I am working with for she was responsible for the beginning of my learning about growing. Even driving I am so reminded of her because we drove so many places here in San Diego to get a mocha, a sandwich or just a nice drive.
Here is Myrtle as we drove:    She loved driving around and seeing nice areas of big homes or just some place she had not seen before. And I loved to drive her, she loved getting out. She was the best friend I have ever had. She simply by her life taught me about the Lord's grace salvation. She truly knew her Savior Jesus Christ in complete confidence so there was no need to live under some attitude of  law in do's and don't s. She was a wonderful lady, hospitable, generous, kind, forgiving, honest, open, befriending, nonjudgmental and selfless. Everything one can read in God's Holy Word the Bible such as the what Love is in 1 Corintians13: 1-8, or the Fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5: 22-23 Myrtle exemplified in and by her life.  I was blessed by the Lord beyond what I knew at the time I was caring for her as to what I had in my friend Myrtle Rockwell.

Well bye for now,  but the Lord Jesus himself may descend from heaven at any moment with the voice of the Archangel and the trumpet of God and the ones believing in the Unique Son of God and his work on the Cross will be "caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air," and Myrtle will already be with Him.
Come quickly Lord Jesus.

Nearing Two Years Myrtle Rockwell has been home with the Lord!

Wow, we are at the two year mark that Myrtle Rockwell has been gone. Gone is the right word for she is gone from this planet and literally true the universe. Although she is gone she has not ceased to exist. Right now she is more alive than she ever was here for the the 96 years God granted her. For  absent from the body, which she is, is to "be" Present with the Lord.  "We are confident, [I say], and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8
So right now Myrtle H. Rockwell is present with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and what glory it must be!!
I miss you Myrtle more than anyone can understand but I have JOY Knowing I too will be with the Lord Jesus Christ one day in all His glory and I will share fellowship with Myrtle forever.  How about you?

Do you have a question in your mind or soul as to where you will go and be when you die? We all are going to die, well maybe, some of us won't. I speak of the Rapture of the Church, the Body of Christ, 1 Thessalonians  4:13-18.  But you must face this and your only hope is the finished work of Christ on the Cross. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.  Myrtle wonderfully believed her Lord and lived it genuinely!!
