Myrtle Henderson Rockwell, looks like a Star!

I was going through some pictures I had form Myrtle's old ones and ran across these; She looks like she could have been a movie star. What do you think?

This look is more intriguing than ladies today.

And here is a picture of her in Uniform, Navy Nurse;
I really like these pictures of ladies in the 40's,
more style and class   than the way women are today. The world needs ladies and Men

Until next time, care for the ones you love!

A Friend I will not forget, and one I will see in heaven, with the Lord.

I realized I had not posted anything here for a while and Myrtle Rockwell was a great once in your life friend. ........ Do you have one?   I hope you do!

I was going through some pictures and wanted to post some fun ones. Myrtle was in the Navy. She was a Lieutenant Navy nurse, and she loved it and she loved her country the United States of America.
And I found her dog tags.
Isn't that cool?  She loved the Navy and being a Nurse. I know envy is not a good thing but I envied Myrtle because she knew from her grade school days she wanted to be a Nurse. Wow, how many people know from childhood and follow through on what they wanted to do?

Here is a one of my favorites. She was on ship and the ship was dropping off our Marines somewhere in China.
Myrtle looks pretty cool there doesn't she, not to mention good looking!

Well that's all for now. Just a reminder of how much Myrtle Henderson Rockwell loved her country, the United States of America. She loved and so appreciated those men and women who served in whatever capacity!
I truly miss her. She really enjoyed and loved her life!  More pictures later.

How time flies! Don't you agree?! Wow 4 years.

This was a favorite picture of Myrtle. The left hand there on her shoulder is from her niece Andrea. She was the only one in Myrtle's family who genuinely cared for Myrtle's welfare rather than just her $ Money.

Myrtle was always in a good mood, always. She was the most emotional balanced person I knew. Always smiling, always friendly and kind. She loved the Lord. She was a Christian; not someone who simply believed in God, or prayed a prayer from the the back of some silly tract, but she believed that Christ's death on the cross, His burial and resurrection was sufficient to save us, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Simple. And it showed. Myrtle reflected Christ and the fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5:22-23. ( Love, joy peace patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness and self-control).

I really appreciated Myrtle. She had a life she said which had no regrets, none. She knew from childhood she was going to be a Navy Nurse and she became one. She then married Captain Joe Rockwell in 1950. They were married 30+ years before he went to the Lord.

It's sad, Joe's grandson Michael is so opposite him. Joe, from what I learned from Myrtle and his friends who knew him was he had no interest in money or material things. In fact he gave away things of great value as a favor to a friend. Myrtle was a little peeved. Because Joe gave away once a China closet probably dating from early 17th century. Boy would the executor have loved to grab that. Would have been worth tens of thousands.
Already four years since Myrtle passed away and is now home with the Lord. I miss her. I am sorry I did not take more care of her financial affairs, but I  avoided it for the purpose of not being accused of changing the will or embezzlement. Unfortunately it happened anyway by the very person Myrtle trusted. All the estate went to ones (apparently) she had NO intention of giving anything to, but as Myrtle's friend John said, "Mike, that's life".  So life moves on. But realize this, Life is short and before you know it you are at your own end. Without the Lord, live as honestly as you can; it will be better for you in the end.! :)

Today I mention me and Acoustic Neuroma

Why do I mention Acoustic Neuroma? Because as of June 12, 2014 I had an MRI and it was found I have a 2 centimeter Acoustic Neuroma on my right acoustic nerve.  I  spent ten years caring for Myrtle Rockwell and going through all of her doctor visits and radiation treatments and ultrasounds and I was on the outside in the chair. Now I am the one being talked to by the specialist concerning the Acoustic Neuroma.

I have had an MRI, a CT Scan and a second MRI as I have been considered for Cyberknife treatment.
I am scheduled for radiation on August 25-27. There are many, many people out there who have questions and concerns regarding this and I want to help.

I am feeling good as a result of taking some Whole Food Nutrition  capsule and powder and you can use it too. I trust the Lord in this as it is a part of His plan and way and it is Perfect. So as time goes on I will post here and I will have a site soon to dedicate on just Acoustic Neuroma my experience and what helped me, food, exercise and prayer.

More later.

Myrtle H. Rockwell Estate closed and finished, but....

Unfortunately and sadly it was not carried out as Myrtle desired nor wanted. I met Mrs. Rockwell in Sept. of 1999 and I visited her often through the remainder of that year as well as 2000 until April of 2001 when I began caring for her full time. And I mean full time 24/7. I was there at her house living seven days a week twenty four hours a day. My day with her would begin around 6-6:30 am and go until she went to bed at 9-10pm. Do you think after ten years of care and 12 to 14 hours a day with her that I would know what she desired to do with her estate and belongings? That is a no brain question. I knew exactly what she desired because she "told" me several times in 2008-2009. Especially after her sister Hazel passed away. But not one thing I knew Mrs Rockwell wanted happened, not one.

She chose someone she knew and trusted to carry out her will; ( the lady she used was married to her husbands grandson) but the desire and greed for more must have taken hold in a big way on the lady Mrs Rockwell chose to do her will because she and her husband took everything and I mean everything. They even took furniture from the tenant they got to rent the place, wow.

Well lesson learned. If you are caring for someone or have a loved one who desires to give you something as Mrs Rockwell did me, get it down in writing and have witnesses and an attorney verify it plus notarized and even then I am not sure you are safe. God says in His word, "the LOVE of MONEY" is the Root of all sorts of EVIL. And people, when it comes to money, can be Vicious!! I mean ruthlessly Vicious. So, if you are reading this and know someone tell them "Get It In Writing with Witnesses!!!" Document document document.!!!

Even in these days get the person to do a video with you and keep that as well, document document.

Let me explain. Mrs Rockwell's house (4639 Lenore drive San Diego) sold for $425,000. She had a loan for around $98,000 on it when it sold. ( family loan, don't do it !!!!)  Real Estate commission around $25,000
So $425,000 minus $25,000 = $400,000. Easy enough. Now minus the loan $98,000 = $302,000. I don't know what taxes there were to be paid but in addition there was stock around $30,000+, bank account $10,000 to $14,000 and $10,000 to $12,000 in furniture. Can you see? How can you not jump on that.

Myrtle told me in late 2008 after her sister died she had decided to give me her house. I was overwhelmed by that generous offer. Because she knew she was cared for better than she could ever pay.  I was making just around on average $370 per week and I bought food. So Myrtle wanted to compensate me for what she could not pay me while she was alive. Well it did not even come close to happening, in fact I lost money. I painted the bathroom. kitchen and the exterior of the house with no compensation or reimbursement and I was charged rent for two months. I actually lost $2000 dollars. So learn from this, document everything, trust no one.

It does not matter to Myrtle she is with the Lord but those left are affected.
See you in heaven Myrtle.

The top is me and Myrtle on her 90th Birthday after she was on Hospice in 2001. The middle is her house she wanted to give me 4639 Lenore drive San Diego. The bottom one is just a close up for fun. I loved Myrtle as my own mother, she was my best friend and mentor.

Easter weekend better Known to Myrtle Rockwell as Resurrection Sunday!

To Myrtle this weekend was very important, for it meant as we remember that the Lord Jesus Christ was raised up from among the dead ones by the Glory of the Father that His ( Jesus) sacrifice for "our" Sins was accepted by God the Father and now we can be forgiven and saved by believing this, see 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
I hope this weekend you will consider the death, burial and Resurrection of Christ for ur sins.

Three years now, Myrtle has been with the Lord

It is hard to believe that Myrtle Rockwell has been home with her Savior and Lord-Jesus Christ for three years; it seems like last month to me. I do miss her. She was such a wonderful friend. I often wonder about what happened to her estate at 4639 Lenore drive, SD 92115. Myrtle told  many occasions what it was she had decided to do with her estate, but it has not come to pass as of this date. Well the Lord knows and He ultimately has the last say, the Counsel of the Lord it stands. her house on Lenore drive was so nice, although her furniture and the way she had it is what made it so nice; and Myrtle. For when she was gone the house was a shell and when all of the furniture was taken then the house was just wood and stone not a home. I suppose very few people have a home. Many have fine houses, cars, furniture, antiques and such, all empty and vain. Those things simply fill the void-the emptiness.
